Welcome!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to come visit me. I am a 5 year old brick home located in the  family friendly neighborhood of Emerald Lake in Chelsea, Alabama. About 45 minutes from downtown Birmingham. I’m located between Hwy 280 and I-65.

Welcome to the Deep South! Land of hospitality, friendly neighbors, sweet tea, and fire ants.

The view all your guest get to see first. Oh, and no, the white ball of fluff isn't staying. I know, I'll miss him too.

In full bloom!

As you walk in my front door, you are greeted by the warm hardwood floors that cover all but the bedrooms and bathrooms. To your right is my formal dining room. It is large and open with a high ceiling and large arched windows.

View from the foyer.

As you continue through the foyer, you can turn either direction or go straight into my living room. My living room opens into the kitchen and onto my screened in back porch. I also have a gas fireplace. Now this gas fireplace isn’t just any old gas fireplace… all you have to do to turn it on is flip a light switch. Pretty nifty, eh?

Now, if instead of heading straight into the den you decided to first go look at the rooms, this is what you’ll find. You’d turn left off of the foyer and find yourself in a short hall. Straight in front of you is a full bath with lovely large tiled floor. Along with a shelved closet.

Perfect size.

Now that you’re in the short hallway, if you were to turn to the left, you’d find yourself in the front bedroom. It is a nice airy room with windows on two walls. It also doubles as an in home office or study. It has a nice large closet. And instead of having to step out of your nice warm bed onto a cold floor, you get to step onto a nice warm carpet.

Now, if instead of heading left, you were to turn right in that short hallway. You would come across the room with the best view in the house! It is a large open room with a large closet and large windows that overlook the backyard and lake for a fantastic view. Did I mention this room has my favorite view? And like all of my bedrooms, it has carpet.

The room with a view.

Now that we’ve enjoyed that view, let us continue through the living room to the kitchen. Now this kitchen also has a lovely view. As you wash dishes you can look out the the wall of windows onto the backyard and greenery during the warm months or watch the lake sparkle during the colder months. And if you decide you need something from the garden to complete the meal, you just step out the back door and head down the stairs to the area that currently is a garden.  I have a Bosch dishwasher and glass-topped stove. My GE refrigerator is staying to keep the rest of the kitchen appliances company as well! My kitchen also features lovely granite counter tops. I also have a half pantry as well.

Now walking past the kitchen, you’ll pass the door on the right that leads into my basement. And a door on the left that is a coat closet. So, you come to the end of the hall and have door on either side. To the right is the laundry room, and to the left, my Master Bedroom.

My large Master Bedroom has a trey ceiling and it’s own private  back porch. It is large enough for my current residents to have a king bed, two desks, a sitting area, a side table, and 3 bookcases.

My master bathroom has a large glass shower and spa tub large enough to actually enjoy. It also has a long counter top with twin sinks. My toilet area is it’s own private room. If you walk through the bathroom, you’ll walk right into my large master closet, complete with large window.

And all of that is just the inside of the house! I have a lovely screened in back porch with a ceiling fan and door to a grilling area and walkway to master porch. Or you can walk down the steps to the backyard and down to the lake. Under the porch is a grand sized patio with access door into basement.
